Montreal Design week

For the very first time, Montreal hosted its first edition of the Montreal Design week organized by Index Design.

I had the pleasure of participating in two events there: "Point de chute" and "Habiter la couleur".

First of all, the exhibition Point de Chute organised by Caroline Roberge (Le Tenon et la Mortaise) at Atelier Retailles... led us to reflect on production waste—on everything that is removed in the process of making a piece. For this project, I worked on three woven lampshades that blend prototype and print tests. This initiative was selected as part of the exhibition presented by the Quebec Council of Arts and Crafts.

Design Week also provided an opportunity to co-organize an exhibition with Sophie Gailliot (Atelier C.U.B).

Living with Color: Objects, Materials, and Volumes in Transformation

Since we set up our workshops at the Cité-des-Hospitalières en transition, Sophie et moi rêvions d’y organiser une exposition.
Sophie a eu cette très belle idée de thème, la couleur, qu’on ne voit pas assez dans le mobilier ou en design d’intérieur.
Thank you atelier b , Amulette par Annie Legault and Studio Minéral for accepting our invitation.
What a wonderful experience to bring contemporary arts and crafts into dialogue with an exceptional historic building.

This exhibition is part of the official program of the City of Montreal Design Office
