COLLECTION
Eclipse
Astronomy I n. f. (Low Latin eclipsis, Greek ekleipsis)
Temporary disappearance of a celestial body in the shadow or the penumbra of another.
– Larousse dictionnary

The Eclipse collection was created from the observation of this rare and fascinating phenomenon that plays with light but especially with the absence of light.
The design of the Eclipse collection takes the form of a large black half-moon, screen printed by hand. The white patches let through flashes of light, evoking the surface of the moon or celestial objects.
The print comes to life when folded. The eye then wanders over mountains and valleys, discovering this new graphic territory. Beyond its strong graphic presence, the pattern is also functional, blocking out some of the light.
The lighting can then be modulated by rotating the object to select the position of the motif. This simple, low-tech operation also evokes the course of the solar system.
